Privacy-First AI
AI shouldn't cost you your data.
Most AI surveillance and analytics tools send your footage to someone else's servers. We think that trade is backwards. This initiative builds tooling where the model runs on your hardware, processes your data locally, and sends nothing to the cloud. Useful intelligence, zero exposure.
Why it matters
Security cameras, medical imaging, internal documents: the highest-value AI use cases are exactly the ones where you cannot afford to leak the input. Cloud AI forces a choice between capability and confidentiality. Local-first AI removes the choice. Modern hardware (Apple Silicon, consumer GPUs) is fast enough to run real computer vision pipelines on-device, so the privacy tax is gone.
How we approach it
- No cloud dependency: everything runs offline on the operator's machine.
- Zero-config where possible: detection regions and parameters auto-tune.
- Frame-perfect, auditable output that respects legal and ethical use.
- Hardware acceleration on Apple Silicon and NVIDIA GPUs.
Petrify
Petrify
ActiveRemoves people from security footage while preserving the live timestamp. The background freezes into a clean still; only the clock keeps ticking. Frame-perfect, zero-config, fully local.
The throughline
Petrify proves the thesis: a genuinely useful surveillance tool that never uploads a single frame. The roadmap extends this local-first pattern to more vision and analytics tasks.
